Ulster Beekeepers Association

The challenge

The Ulster Beekeepers’ Association (UBKA) represents affiliated beekeeping groups across Northern Ireland and the border counties. Their old website was difficult to update, limiting their ability to communicate effectively with members and the wider public. Alongside the website, their branding and digital channels needed attention to support better engagement.

Our approach

We created a new website using a modern content management system, giving UBKA full control over their content. The design was kept bright and colourful, in line with their request for a look that reflected their positive role in promoting beekeeping.

In addition, we delivered a logo refresh that modernised their identity while staying true to their roots. We also helped UBKA improve digital communications by setting up Twitter and Mailchimp, enabling them to reach members and new audiences through social media and email.

The outcome

The new site has made it easier for UBKA to share updates, resources, and details of their well-attended annual conference — one of their most popular offerings. The refreshed branding received very positive feedback, giving the organisation a consistent, professional image.

Twelve years on, we continue to support UBKA with their website — a long-standing relationship that underlines the value of pairing reliable support with ongoing improvements.

What this shows

This project demonstrates our ability to deliver end-to-end digital solutions for membership organisations — combining websites, branding, and digital communications. By focusing on usability, visual identity, and long-term support, we created a platform that empowers UBKA to engage its members and promote beekeeping across Ulster and beyond.
