Burrenbeo Trust

The challenge

When we first built Burrenbeo.com in 2016, it served the organisation well — so well, in fact, that we often heard clients say, “I liked the Burrenbeo website.” But after nine years, the organisation had evolved significantly. Its range of initiatives had expanded nationally, and the existing content no longer reflected its structure or scope.

The new website needed to make content easier to find, support national and local initiatives, and simplify content management for staff — while retaining the approachable, trusted feel people associated with the old site.

Our approach

We began with a full content audit to help Burrenbeo Trust understand what they had, what could be retired, and what needed to be reorganised. Together, we mapped out new visitor journeys to ensure users could easily find information about the Trust’s projects, events, and community programmes.

We then rebuilt the site from the ground up, introducing structured content types for webinars, team members, and supporters. Previously, these had been managed manually on single pages; now, templates automatically handle layout and styling, allowing staff to focus purely on the content.

Redirects were carefully planned to preserve SEO value and guide returning visitors to the right places.

The outcome

Launched in 2025, the new website is already receiving very positive feedback from Burrenbeo’s team:

On first impression I think this looks great. The feedback so far has been very positive and everyone is very pleased.

The new structure makes content easier to navigate and maintain, while ensuring the website reflects the organisation Burrenbeo Trust has become –  outward-looking, community-driven, and future-focused.

What this shows

This project demonstrates our ability to modernise and evolve well-established websites without losing what people loved about them. By combining thoughtful content auditing with clean design and structured templates, we help organisations grow online in step with their mission.
