Our approach
We designed and built a new website with the dual goals of raising awareness and providing structured access to the archive.
A key part of the project was the import of around 200 interview transcripts, along with associated metadata such as interviewee names, parishes, dates of birth, and interview dates. This structured approach allowed us to build a searchable archive, where users can browse interviews and discover the diversity of Clare’s oral history.
The site design was kept clean and modern, ensuring the archive content is the main focus. As with all our projects, we implemented robust performance and security measures to ensure reliability.
The outcome
Launched in 2022, the new site now showcases a representative part of Clare Memories’ archive, raising awareness of the project to a much wider audience. Users can easily search the interviews, while the organisation now has a sustainable, professional platform that can grow as more material is digitised.
What this shows
This project demonstrates our ability to work with large content imports and structured data to create accessible, user-friendly archives. By combining thoughtful design with technical precision, we helped Clare Memories bring an important cultural collection into the public eye.
